The Shape of Things
Well, I got on the scales for the first time since before Christmas. 191. Wow, heaviest I have been, except when pregnant. I will never be a waife, however, I do need to weigh less than that. Honestly, I am good somewhere between 155 and 165 since I have huge boobs and carry a lot of muscle.
I knew this needed to be a priority for me soon, and had decided to try a doctor recommended diet of a “mediteranian” type diet - whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. Because I need more than a sample meal plan, I did some research and settled upon the Sonoma Diet as a good guideline. There are three “waves” and I had decided to start today, but I did get off of it slightly when I met someone for coffee.
But let’s not talk about the coffee thing yet ’cause it is almost painful.
The diet, however, is balanced overall and a great guideline. there are some good recipes as we dabbled with them before the holiday. It was just too hard to follow a diet of any sort over Christmas. But now that the holidays are over, it’s time. Besides, I need to begin to make MYSELF a priority.
The best way to honestly do this is to track food and activity and since I know it’s boring, I will put the food part in the “read more” section. though, to be honest, it isn’t as if I have readers anyway. But I need this for myself. I miss the old Balance Log, but it doesn’t work on Vista. So.
Anyway, Happy New Year. wish me luck
